From Betty Sue's funeral:
Miss Me-But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long and not with your head bowed low,
For this journey that we all must take
Miss me - But let me go.
Remember the love that we once shared and each must go alone,
It's all a part of the Master's plan a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart go to the friends we know,
and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss me — But Let Me Go...

Orvis T. Hart, Jr. of Evansville, Indiana passed away October 28, 2020 at Columbia Healthcare.
Orvis was born in Bay City, Mississippi on February 19, 1937. His family moved to northern Indiana when he was a boy. He grew up in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from George Rogers Clark High School where he lettered in football.
He worked at the South Bend Water Works pumping station and in the office of a steel mill.
Orvis realized at an early age that education was the most important thing you could do for yourself. He graduated from Indiana State College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to Indiana University to earn a degree of Master of Public Affairs, then 2 years later a Master of Science in Business Administration.
Orvis worked a variety of jobs to achieve his educational goals. He was also very active in the Indiana Democratic Party and held the position of State Youth Director where he received a letter of praise for his work from Vice President Hubert Humphrey.
Orvis came to Evansville about 25 years ago and taught at the Vanderburgh County Jail, the Rescue Mission and the EVSC.
He was an active member in the Evansville Lapidary Society. He loved working the wheels to achieve some beautiful cabochons. But more importantly he loved to study the chemical and mineral makeup of the rocks he worked with. He liked nothing better than to teach anyone that was interested about this. Ne loved to tell his stories about so many famous people in Indiana that he worked with on campaigns or went to college with. He “knew where the bodies were” he’d say!!
